Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Living the Real LLC ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the MedMinder Pro iOS application ("MedMinder Pro", "the App").
Information we collect
MedMinder Pro collects only the information necessary to provide medication reminders and related features:
- Apple ID identifier (Apple User ID) if you sign in with Apple. This is provided by Apple and does not include your name, email, or password.
- Display name — the name you provide when creating your profile in the app.
- Phone number — the phone number you provide within the app if you opt in to SMS or phone call escalation reminders.
- Medication information — the medications, dosages, and schedules you enter into the app.
- Medication log entries — confirmations of when you took (or skipped) medications.
- Care Circle relationships — links between users if you connect with a caregiver or care recipient.
How we use information
We use the information you provide to:
- Deliver in-app reminder notifications for your medications;
- Send SMS text message reminders to your phone number, if you have opted in;
- Place automated phone call reminders when the escalation reaches the phone call level;
- Sync your medication data across your own Apple devices via Apple's CloudKit service;
- Share medication data with a caregiver you have connected in your Care Circle;
- Provide technical support if you contact us.
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or to share with third parties for any promotional purpose.
Third-party services
MedMinder Pro uses the following third-party services:
- Apple CloudKit — for syncing your data across your own Apple devices and, where applicable, sharing with connected caregivers. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to CloudKit.
- Twilio — for sending SMS text messages and placing automated phone calls, if you have opted in. Twilio's Privacy Policy applies to messages routed through Twilio's infrastructure.
- Cloudflare — for the backend infrastructure that routes reminder requests to Twilio. Cloudflare's Privacy Policy applies.
These services process the minimum information necessary to deliver reminders (phone number, medication name, and reminder text). We do not share your medication log data, Care Circle relationships, or other personal information with these services beyond what is required for a specific reminder.
Data storage and security
Your medication data is stored in Apple's CloudKit, encrypted at rest and in transit. Phone numbers used for SMS or phone call reminders are stored on the device and transmitted to Twilio's infrastructure only at the moment a reminder is dispatched. Your phone number is not shared with any other party.
Data retention
Your data is retained on your device and in your Apple iCloud account for as long as you use MedMinder Pro. You may delete your data at any time by uninstalling the app and clearing your iCloud storage. If you connect with a caregiver, they retain access to the shared data until you disconnect from their Care Circle or until you delete the data.
Your rights
You may request deletion of any information we hold about you by contacting matt.boettger@gmail.com. Most information is stored on your own device and in your Apple iCloud account, so you can also delete it directly there.
Children's privacy
MedMinder Pro is intended for users 13 years of age and older, or for minors with parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
